Principal's Message

Dear Parents;

Welcome to Memphis Schools of Excellence Cordova! We are excited that you have chosen MSEC, one of the best public charter schools in Tennessee

After a long summer break, all our faculty and staff are so excited to restart. We are well prepared and ready. This year we are offering CLUE course, a variety of extracurricular activities and sports. With the $5K STEM grant we have created our MakerSpace so our students will have access to robots, green-screen animation, 3-D pens/printers, Apple iMac etc.

I wanted to take a few moments to give you a little information that will help make your transition to MSE easier.

I highly encourage you to check our Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/MSECordova), website (https://msec.sememphis.org/), Instagram https://www.instagram.com/MSEatCordova ) or Twitter pages (https://twitter.com/home) pages very frequently for campus news and information. You will also start receiving email notifications regarding updates, happenings. We will also publish a monthly school newsletter.

You are always welcome to email me ([email protected]) or call the front office at (901) 421-6825 if you need any assistance.

Should you have more grade-specific questions, you can also email the Academic Coordinator and our Counselor.

Dean of Academics:  Heather Henderson  [email protected]

Dean of Students:     Jaime Williams [email protected]

Counselor:                 Leatryce Stanley [email protected]

Our faculty, staff, and administration are focused on providing a quality learning experience for all students through the various academic and extracurricular opportunities available. We have a big gym and we’ll be utilizing it for sports.

As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors, including our teachers, students, and parents, are excited to be here!  This attitude enables MSE to provide academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.

My door is always open, and I welcome your input.  Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year.
