Principal's Message
To Parents and Students
It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of Memphis School of Excellence Cordova Secondary. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with high performing students, extremely dedicated staff and a supportive parent and school community. Along with teachers and staff, I will work hard to build upon the excellence of our young scholars. My official start date is July 31st, however I can be reached by email at [email protected].
I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than ten years. I have worked with students ranging in age from Kindergarten through 12th grade and higher education in a variety of roles. I have been a grade level chair, middle and high school classroom teacher, building testing coordinator, adjunct professor, Assistant Principal, Principal K-8 in the Memphis area.
This year we will renew our commitment to excellence in all that we do, with a resolute expectation that all students can learn and succeed. We will continue to provide students with opportunities to address academic deficiencies, to build numeracy and literacy skills, to be college or work force prepared, and to have the opportunity to participate in advanced academic classes. The MSE Cordova Eagles family will commit to continuous improvement in all aspects of our organization.
My initial goals are two-fold: a strong school culture and instructional leadership to move every student each day towards career and college readiness. We will focus on the skills our students need to be successful in school, on tests for careers and college, as well as the rapidly changing job market.
I look forward to working with the Memphis School of Excellence Cordova Eagles teachers, staff and community to ensure that we have a safe and very productive 2023-2024 school year together.
Educationally yours,
Raymond Bradford Jr.
